‘Boying’ Remulla wins Congress seat for Cavite’s 7th district

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — The provincial board of canvassers (PBOC) in Cavite officially proclaimed on Wednesday former Cavite Governor Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla as winner of the 7th district congressional race.

The proclamation at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session hall here, was chaired by lawyer Arnulfo Pioquinto, with lawyer Gavino Mapano as vice-chair and Dr. Cherrylou Repia as member-secretary.

The proclamation was held after the canvassing of votes cast last Monday for the House of Representatives member in 357 precincts of the 7th District of Cavite.

In the certificate of canvass of votes, Remulla obtained 128,674 votes over his rival Gengen Arayata, who garnered 61,031 votes.

The 7th district of Cavite covers this city, including the towns of Indang, Tanza, and Amadeo.
