British Council offering scholarships for women in STEM

By Alec Go

The British Council announced that it is opening its doors to women in the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom (UK).

The application period for the academic year from September/October 2023 – 2024 is set from March to May this year “with deadlines varying” depending on what is set by the partner universities.

More than 100 women from countries in the Americas, South Asia, and East Asia including the Philippines will be covered by the British Council Scholarships for Women.

Covered by the scholarships are tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel costs, visa, and health coverage fees.

No age limit was imposed for the scholarship, while women with children dependents will be given special support.
