Bukidnon Kaamulan activities underway

MALAYBALAY CITY – The Kaamulan 2018 festivities are already underway, with major activities kicking off in the run-up to the festival’s grand celebration on March 24.

Taking center stage at the Capitol Stage on Monday (March 5) was the 10-day Kaamulan Jam, followed by the Bukidnon Coffee Brands Launching on March 9 at the OTOP Pavilion at the Capitol Grounds.

The Kaamulan MTB Circuit Race, meanwhile, is slated on March 10 at the Capitol Grounds, including the SMB Night at the Capitol Stage. On March 11, the Enduro Competition will take place at the Grandstand, including the Inter-Municipality Volleyball Tournament Championship at Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Covered Court.

Here are the rest of the activities:

Ethnic Sports/Olympics and Mass Tribal Wedding on March 11-13 at Capitol Grounds; Chess Tournament on March 11-12 at BukSU; Motocross Competition at the Grandstand on March 16; Laga Ta Bukidnon Coronation Night on March 16 to be held at Kaamulan Open Theatre;

Kaamulan Fun Run on March 17 at Malaybalay City Proper; 100K Kaamulan Dart Tournament at Brgy. Covered Court – March 17-18; Level II Kaamulan National Invitational Shooting Competition at Cabrera’s Shooting Range and 403rd Brigade Shooting Range on March 17-19;

LMP Inter Municipality Basketball Tournament Championship – March 18 at BukSU; Globe Telecom Night – March 20; Rodeo – March 21-22, Piniliyapan Hu Bukidnon – March 23; Ethnic Rituals at the Kaamulan Grounds on March 23 and 24.

On the grand finale, March 24, the major activities are the annual Ethnic Street Dancing and Float Competitions and ground Presentations. During the evening, the slated activities are Kaamulan Blackout Party at Belyca Badminton Court, fireworks display at the Capitol Grounds and the performance of Manila artists invited by Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri.

A tennis tournament is scheduled on March 24-25.

Meanwhile, the Food Festival, Agri-fair Bazaar, Garden Show, Kaamulan and Indigenous Bazaar, Culture and Arts Exhibits have been ongoing since March 1 and will last until March 24 at the Capitol Grounds,
