Canada reported 3,589 new COVID-19 cases as of Saturday (Dec. 11) noon, bringing the cumulative total to 1,831,344 cases, including 29,909 deaths, according to CTV.
Another 633 Omicron cases have been confirmed in Britain, the biggest daily increase since the COVID-19 variant was detected in the country, taking the total number of cases found in the country to 1,898, British health authorities said Saturday (Dec. 11).
The government assured it is prepared for the entry of the more transmissible Omicron coronavirus variant, the Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday.
National Task Force Against COVID-19 (NTF) revealed that the National Capital Region (NCR) and other targeted areas in the country have surpassed the 90% fully vaccinated rate and now attained the herd immunity threshold.
