TACLOBAN CITY – Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Wednesday (Oct. 6), formalizing his bid to replace his wife, Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez.
The ruling party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban) of President Rodrigo Duterte today (Oct. 3) announced that Senator Emmanuel Pacquiao has been automatically expelled from the party for filing his certificate of candidacy (COC) under the Progressive Movement for the Devolution of Initiatives (PROMDI), a relatively unknown party based in Cebu.
Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo has filed for candidacy as senator as an independent candidate while former senator JV Ejercito hopes to make a comeback as he files for senator as well.
