Weather disturbance “Betty” has weakened into a severe tropical storm but Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 remains hoisted over Batanes, the weather bureau said Thursday, June 1.
Tropical cyclone wind signals are hoisted over Cagayan and portions of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) as Typhoon “Betty” maintained its strength on Tuesday morning, May 30.
[As of 2:50 p.m., May 28] Classes in the following areas have been suspended on Monday, May 29, due to anticipated inclement weather brought on by Typhoon “Betty.”
