Tropical Storm Nanmadol (international name) is likely to enter the country and enhance the southwest monsoon or “habagat” this week, the weather bureau said Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Typhoon Inday has intensified further but remains less likely to directly bring heavy rains in the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, Sept. 11.
Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Bataan, and Zambales on Saturday, Sept. 10, due to the trough of Severe Tropical Storm Inday.
The tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is expected to enter either by Wednesday night or Thursday, Sept. 8, the weather bureau said.
The southwest monsoon (habagat) and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring rain showers over some areas in the country, the weather bureau said Tuesday, Aug. 6.
