INDANG, Cavite — The management system of the Cavite State University (CvSU) main campus here has obtained the ISO 9001:2005 certification, after being assessed and certified by AJA Registrars, a third-party standards certification body.

Allan Robert C. Solis, CvSU Director for Public Information and Community Relations Office (PICRO), disclosed Wednesday that the scope of registration, valid until Dec. 3, 2021, covers CvSU-Main’s Admission and Registration, Management of Learning (covering graduate and undergraduate programs), and Research and Extension Services.

Solis said the ISO certification reconfirms the campus’ service thrusts to consistently provide client and regulatory sensitive products and services by continuously enhancing its Quality Management System (QMS) on the guidelines set by CvSU President Hernando D. Robles.

QMS aims to increase an organization’s awareness of its duties and commitment in fulfilling the needs and expectations of its stakeholders, and in achieving satisfaction with its products and services.

“With the certification, CvSU may now make its services accessible, convenient, and pleasant to the transacting public,” Solis said.

The certificate was formally presented by AJA representative Jerah Duran to Robles, witnessed by the CvSU core team, at the SL Lasap Hall on Wednesday.

During the ceremony, Robles expressed gratitude and appreciation, especially to the core team, for allotting extra time and effort to realize this endeavor.

“This is the product of determination, hard work, and cooperation of each and every member of the CvSU community,” Robles said.

Since their orientation in December 2017 on ISO 9001:2015, university officials have put their efforts in fast-tracking the certification acquisition.

The 20-man core team underwent a series of training and workshops on ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements and documentation.

After the main campus, CvSU targets to acquire similar certification for all its other campuses.
