Cimatu tasked to ice safety of Filipinos in Middle East amid USA-Iran conflict

Special Envoy to Middle East and Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Roy Cimatu was tasked by President Rodrigo Duterte to spearhead the exit of numerous Filipinos in Middle East, whom are afflicted by the escalating tension between the United States of America and Iran.

Cimatu informed that he will proceed first to Qatar to establish a camp in there. Further, he will execute the forced evacuation of Filipinos situated in Iran and Iraq.

Cimatu guaranteed that the Philippine government will carry out everything that leads to the safety of the Filipinos in the region.
