Philippine government moved to ensure welfare of Filipinos in Middle East

Following the aggravating strain between the United State of America (USA) and Iran, President Rodrigo Duterte has directed some of his men to partake directly in icing the security of Filipinos situated in the Middle East. Among these tapped individuals were Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers Abdullah Mamao, who was ordered to head to Iran and Iraq to ice the welfare of Filipinos there, and Special Envoy to Middle East and Department of Environment and Natural Resources chief Roy Cimatu, who was directed to proceed to Middle East and coordinate with the countries that can offer a refuge to the Filipinos in the region. The Chief Executive, further, established a special working committee that will watch the condition of Filipinos there. The Head of State is on his toes in ensuring that Filipinos in said region will not be afflicted by the escalating tension between the USA and Iran.
