CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Classes in some parts of Central Luzon were suspended on Tuesday due to continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical depression “Henry”.
In Bataan, Governor Abet Garcia suspended classes in all levels, both in public and private, as well as work in government offices – except those involved in disaster risk and management.
Classes in all levels, both in public and private schools in highly-urbanized Olongapo City were also suspended by Mayor Rolen Paulino.
Localized suspension of classes, on the other hand, was declared in the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga and Zambales.
In Bulacan, classes in all levels both in public and private schools were suspended in the towns of Marilao; San Miguel; Norzagaray; Obando; and Calumpit while in the cities of Meycauayan; San Jose del Monte; and Malolos, classes were suspended from pre-elementary to high school levels, both in public and private.
Afternoon classes in the towns of Pulilan; Angat and Guiguinto in all levels, both in public and private schools, were also suspended.
In Pampanga, classes in all levels, both in public and private schools in the towns of Sasmuan; Minalin; San Simon; Sto. Tomas; Guagua; and Lubao were suspended.
Pre-elementary to high school levels, meanwhile, were suspended in the towns of Apalit and Mexico.
Classes in public schools in barangays Caduang Tete, San Esteban, Castuli, and Candelaria and a private school—Colegio de San Lorenzo, all in Macabebe town, also declared the suspension of classes.
Twelve public schools and one private school in all levels in Masantol were also suspended.
Afternoon classes in all levels, both in public and private, in the City of San Fernando and Floridablanca were likewise suspended.
In Zambales, classes in all levels, both in public and private, were suspended in the towns of San Antonio; Sta. Cruz; Iba; San Felipe; San Narciso; Castillejos and Subic.
Pre-elementary to senior high school classes in public and private schools, on the other hand, were suspended in the towns of Botolan and Cabangan.
Based on the forecast of state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration as of 7:35 a.m., orange warning level is up in the Central Luzon provinces of Bulacan and Bataan.
Yellow warning level, on the other hand, is up in Pampanga and Zambales.
