ComVal village receives P5.7M worth water system

DAVAO CITY — The Compostela Valley provincial government with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) turned over P5.7 million worth of Potable Water System at Barangay Kapatagan in Laak, Compostela Valley.

This was announced by the Compostela Valley provincial information office on Monday. The project was implemented through the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) which was implemented by the province.

Barangay Captain Moises Doca together with his constituents thanked the provincial government and the officials of the DILG-PAMANA for the project.

The funds used for the project was part of the P15 million allocated funds from the DILG-PAMANA through President Rodrigo Duterte which is divided into two Water System Projects in Laak town.

Based on the latest report, the other Water System project is now 95 percent complete located at Barangay Poblacion, Laak as part of the DILG-PAMANA projects.

PAMANA is the government’s flagship program for peace and development aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions in areas affected and vulnerable to armed conflict.

The PAMANA program helped addressed the needs of the people in conflict-affected communities.

The DILG earlier reported that 2012 PAMANA program has a total of 280 completed out of 287 projects; 96 out of 98 projects have been completed in 2013 program; 110 projects in 2014; 79 of the 115 projects have been completed in 2015; and 136 projects in 2016. (Armando Fenequito Jr/PNA)
