DA: Rice importation continues

The Department of Agriculture (DA) has averred that it does not cease the sourcing of foreign rice by the Philippines. It also did not mention the reason why President Rodrigo Duterte revoked his earlier order to halt the rice importation. The agriculture arm, however, enumerated the directives of the Chief Executive to help the farmers in cushioning the adverse effects of the decline of rice cost. These are the augmentation of emergency rice buffer stock of the country and provision of PHP5,000 aide to said agriculturists.
