Davao Oriental starts inventory of untitled lands

DAVAO CITY–The newly-installed Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) in Davao Oriental has started inventory of untitled lands in the province as targets for titling and free patent applications.

Davao Oriental PENRO director Alberto N. Bandiola said the targets are on Residential Free Patent Application (RFPA) and Free Patent Application (FPA) under the Land Management Services (LMS), as well as the activities on forest protection and enhanced National Greening Program (eNGP).

“We in the PENR Office will always give an all-out support in accomplishing the targets,” Bandiola said.

He said he has visited several municipal offices to assess the performance of local environment personnel, including the four CENROs in the towns of Baganga, Manay, Mati City, and Lupon.

He said his office will also be conducting regular monitoring of the performances and the actual accomplishments of environment field offices this year.

Bandiola said that for land management services, his office will collaborate with the local government units (LGUs) in informing the public or the residential lot owners, who until now have no title certificates of their property.

He also asked landowners to visit the nearest CENR Office to avail of the services under the free patent program.

He also underscored the role of the LGUs in ensuring the successful implementation of PENRO’s programs.

“Teamwork is the only way anything gets accomplished with quality and efficiency to achieve the desired goals. So, let us all cooperate and work together toward our common goal,” he added.

Meanwhile, he reminded all eNGP site coordinators, project management officers (PMOs), extension officers, and other technical personnel of their duties and responsibilities as the bridge-builders in the success of the agency’s projects.  (Armando Fenequito Jr/PNA)
