DFA appeals to OFWs who cancel repatriation

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has appealed to the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who wish to return to the Philippines to advise the agency if they would not push through with the repatriation.

According to DFA Migrant Workers Affairs Undersecretary Sarah Lou Arriola, it will be a big help for their fellow OFWs who also want to go home, if they immediately advise the department of their cancelled repatriation. Recently, several OFWs have not given notice to the DFA on the cancellation. The DFA has been dismayed since many Filipinos working abroad are waiting for a slot to return home to the Philipppines. – PTV News
