DFA, DOT, NCCA launch Fiesta Filipinas

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Tourism (DOT), and National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) launched an appreciation for Philippine fiestas through virtual tours.

Fiesta Filipinas is an online celebration of the Philippine fiestas. It aims to recognize various Pinoy fiestas worldwide.

Fiesta Filipinas will be celebrated on the day of a certain feast through a virtual tour. It will start on December 19 for the Giant Lantern Parade followed by Sinulog, Ati-Atihan, and Dinagyang Festivals, Panagbenga Festival, Visita Iglesia, Lami-Lamihan Festival, and Flores De Mayo or Santacruzan.

Part of this program is the continuous appreciation of Filipino culture while preparing tourist destinations once international tourism is allowed. ā€œExperience kitsā€ that consist of food and other items that symbolize the celebration of each fiesta will be given to a lucky participant. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
