DFA: No collection of travel exemption fees for entry of foreigners nationals

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reiterated that it does not collect travel exemption fees for the entry of foreign nationals in the Philippines.

The DFA issued the statement amidst cases of foreign nationals who submitted “fraudulent entry exemption documents” to embassies and consulates of the Philippines in various countries.

Currently, foreigners with long term visas are the only ones allowed entry in the country. Individuals or groups involved in the said fraudulent activity may face charges if proven guilty.

“The public is encouraged to report to the DFA through the email address [email protected] those individuals or groups involved in such activities.” – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
