DILG coordinates with LGUs to intensify contact tracing

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) continuously coordinates with the local government units (LGUs) to strengthen the performance of contact tracers.

According to DILG Spokesperson Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, the current close contact ratio of the LGUs is 1:6. This falls short of the ideal ratio of 1:30 under the formula of Contact Tracing Czar and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong.

USec. Malaya reiterated that contact tracing must include the second and third generation of close contacts. He also reminded the public to follow the minimum health standards to prevent the further spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
