DITO passes NTC technical audit

The new internet service provider DITO has passed the technical audit of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).

Based on the report received by the NTC from an independent auditor, the new telecommunications company has exceeded the required minimum broadband speed of 27 megabytes per second (MBps). It has an average speed of 85.9 MBps for 4G and 507.5 MBps for 5G.

Moreover, the report showed that the speed can reach 102.4 MBps for 4G and 769.1 MBps for 5G in areas near base stations, 91.2 MBps in 4G and 437.1 MBps in 5G in areas at middle point, and 64.4 MBps for 4G and 316.5 MBps for 5G in far point areas.

The DITO telecom will be formally introduced to the public on March 8 in Davao and Cebu. -PTV News
