DOH alerts public against using Fabunan Anti-viral Injection

The Department of Health (DOH) has warned the public against the use of Fabunan Anti-viral Injection as treatment for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, the said medicine is not registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is required to pass clinical trials.

Usec. Vergeire has also added that whoever uses medicines without FDA approval may be liable in accordance with the law. The DOH has initially stated that there is still no vaccine or medicine discovered for COVID-19. – Mark Fetalco
