DOLE to provide jobs for Cagayan, Isabela flood victims

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will provide jobs to residents of Cagayan and Isabela affected by the onslaught of Typhoon “Ulysses”.

According to DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III, he has authorized Isabela Governor Rodito Albano and Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba to hire 5,000 workers under the Emergency Employment Program or the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD).

The DOLE explained that workers will be paid for the cleaning and restoration of their own communities ravaged by massive flooding. – PTV News
