DOTr assures no fine for motorists without RFID tags


Motorists without RFID tags will not yet be fined upon the launch of the cashless payment scheme in tollways on December 1, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) assured.

The DOTr clarified that the moratorium on the fine will only be implemented during the holiday season.

Meanwhile, Senator Grace Poe asked the DOTr to leave a cash booth open in tollways for cash option if ever a problem in the RFID scanner occurs. – PTV News
