GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 12 (Soccsksargen) has launched a mobile application to bring its services closer to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

Dubbed Nego Mobile, DTI-12 started the rollout this week of the Android-based application, in partnership with MSME groups, government agencies, and other local stakeholders.

DTI-12 Director Dorecita Delima said Friday they developed the mobile application to further expand the reach of their services and programs, especially in terms of entrepreneurial development, trade, and investments.

“It will provide relevant business information to our MSMEs, investors and would-be entrepreneurs,” Delima told reporters.

Developed last year by DTI-12, the Nego mobile application is a mobile Negosyo or business solution, designed with a user-friendly interface to make information easily accessible to the public.

“With just the click of a finger, the latest news and updates on DTI’s programs and services are made available, transforming the landscape on which information, and (the) government’s service delivery, are made and shared,” the application’s description said.

Delima said the mobile application can also run in desktops and laptops by downloading and installing the “Blue Stacks Android Emulator”.

The official said its main features include the Nego maps, which provides the location of the DTI offices and Negosyo Centers in the region, and updates and information on its Shared Service Facility cooperators and the Roads Leveraging Linkages of Industry and Trade or ROLL-IT program.

It also contains the Nego Solusyon button, which when clicked, will lead to DTI’s program’s activities, directories, and other related information.

Nego Solusyon contains business-related services, such as the NegoCoach for entrepreneurial coaching sessions, NegoLINK for the setting linkages between MSMEs and financing institutions, NegoModels for the setting of business models, NegoPACK for assistance on branding and packaging, NegoTALKS for business seminars and conferences, and NegoTECH for the adoption of new technologies.
