Floods hit some parts of Metro Manila

MANILA — Some areas of Metro Manila were flooded Friday morning due to heavy rains caused by the southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical storm “Inday”.

In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said flooding was reported in the following areas:

  • Roxas Boulevard-Buendia southbound – gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)
  • MIA Park N’ Fly along Domestic Road, Pasay City – gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)
  • MIA Road before Domestic westbound – half tire deep (not passable for light vehicles)
  • Tramo Andrews Avenue to Domestic Road – gutter deep (passable to light vehicles)

In its weather advisory as of 7 a.m., weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has raised a yellow rainfall warning over Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Zambales, Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.
