MANILA—Some parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers due to an inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Mindanao, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday.
In its 24-hour forecast, Pagasa said the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and Zamboanga peninsula will have cloudy skies with rain showers caused by ITCZ.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy with isolated rain showers due to lo localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa added that the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific continue to affect the country.
Temperatures continue to sizzle with a high of 36 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; 35 degrees Celsius in Metro Davao; 33 degrees Celsius in Metro Cebu and, 34 degrees in Metro Manila. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
