The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) announced on Monday, Sept. 4, that it is suspending noontime program “It’s Showtime” for 12 days.

MTRCB said viewers “lodged multiple complaints” concerning the show’s episode last July 25, citing the “indecent action” of its hosts.

In the notice, the agency also noted the “inappropriate utterance” of the words “G Spot” and “Tinggil” by the show’s hosts.

The variety show was first suspended by the MTRCB in 2010 for 20 days.

ABS-CBN, for its part, confirmed that it has received the ruling from the MTRCB.

The broadcast giant said it will submit a motion for reconsideration, stressing that it “maintains that there was no violation of pertinent law.”

“We are also committed to working with the MTRCB to ensure that ‘It’s Showtime’ can continue to bring joy and entertainment to our noontime viewers,” it said.
