Jaime Tadeo, peasant leader and one of the drafters of the 1987 Constitution, has passed away. He was 84.

Tadeo was formerly one of the leaders of the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas formed in 1986 to push for agrarian reform.

He was appointed to be part of the 1986 Constitutional Commission where he was the only farmer representative.

In a statement, the Akbayan Citizens’ Action Party mourned the death of Tadeo.

Tadeo was one of the founding members of the Akbayan Citizens’ Action Party. – cf
