Kai Sotto plays for Adelaide 36ers

Seven-foot-three Filipino center Kai Sotto will be playing for the Adelaide 36ers of Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL).

Sotto and the 36ers announced the news in a virtual press conference and  social media posts.

The 18-year-old prospect will be playing in the 2021-2022 NBL season under the Special Restricted Player deal, where his first two years in the league are guaranteed while he has the option to stay on the third year.

After coming up with a “mutual decision” to leave the National Basketball Association (NBA) G League Ignite this February, Sotto trained in Florida together with former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire to prepare for the NBL.
