LSIs urged to wait for confirmation before going to send-off sites

The technical working group (TWG) of the Presidential Management Staff is currently working on a final schedule for the next send-off under the Hatid Tulong Program and has appealed to locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to wait for a travel confirmation instead of insisting on staying outside and along the roads of Taguig City.

The Philippine Army assured that most of the locally stranded individuals (LSIs) gathered at the Philippine Army Gym and Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) have received assistance and were brought home.

Some of the LSIs live in Rizal, Cavite, Bulacan, and some cities within the National Capital Region (NCR). Other LSIs without a home to return to have been taken by the Taguig City LGU for interim adoption where they will be provided food and COVID-19 testing.

“Ako’y nanawagan na kung pwede ay huwag muna silang pumunta kung di po sila nakarehistro at sana sumunod po sila sa tamang proseso (I am asking them to avoid coming here if they are not properly registered, and that they should follow the proper process),” Hatid Tulong Program convenor ASec. Joseph Encabo said. – Report from Louisa Erispe
