LTFRB: ‘Bookme Transport Lite’ is unauthorized to operate

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has warned the public that the “Bookme Transport Lite” application has no permission to operate in different parts of Metro Manila.

The investigation of the LTFRB revealed that the application is providing services to passengers and other necessities such as haircuts and massages.

Based on Memorandum Circular No. 2020-018 of the agency, a TNVS is only allowed to operate if it has a valid certificate of public convenience and provisional authority in areas placed under General Community Quarantine.

The LTFRB advises the public not to patronize unauthorized public utility vehicles (PUVs). The agency will not think twice in filing charges against TNVS operators who are found guilty of illegal operations.
