Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is set to visit the Philippines on Mar. 1 and 2.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will officially welcome the Malaysian Prime Minister at the Malacañang Palace.
The two leaders are expected to discuss significant issues including political, security, economic, people-to-people, as well as regional and global challenges.
“The visit reflects the importance of good ties between Malaysia and the Philippines as close neighbours in ASEAN,” Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
“It will provide an excellent opportunity for both sides to advance the partnership progress, guided by shared interest, increased political and economic cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges,” it added.
Marcos will host a dinner banquet in honor of Ibrahim. He is Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister.
