Manila areas flooded due to heavy rains

Some areas in Manila were flooded on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 13,  due to inclement weather brought by localized thunderstorms.

The Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office reported the following areas that has been flooded in gutter deep level:

– Mehan Garden

– Quiapo Church

– Arroceros Park

– Laguna St.

-Kalaw (facing General Luna)

 

Meanwhile, other areas have no flood but brought zero visibility due to heavy rain:

– Lorenzo St.

– Blumentritt

– SM San Lazaro

– Lacson Aragon

– Cavite St.

– Laong Laan Road

– Alfonso Mendoza

– Quezon Underpass

– P. Campa

– Rizal Ave. Cor. Pampanga

– Tambunting

– Hermosa

– Abad Santos

– Solis

– Yuseco Abad Santos

– Tayuman Abad Santos

– Quiricada

– Mayhaligue

– Padre Algue

– Recto Avenue

– Recto Masangkay

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4:00 p.m. weather forecast that possible flash floods or landslides are likely during severe thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the tropical depression east of Northern Luzon entered the Philippine area of responsibility at 12:00 p.m.today, and was given its local name “Neneng.” -KC/ag
