Manila City launches 24/7 vax site

The local government of Manila launched its 24/7 vaccine rollout in the city on Sunday (August 9), amid the imposition of an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila.

In a Facebook post, the Manila Public Information Office reminded the public to pre-register for the vaccination, as walk-ins are prohibited.

Holy Trinity Academy in Sampaloc, Manila houses one of the round-the-clock vaccination sites of the city.

“This, if perfected, we will make it bigger. Today, three sites, but strategically positioned in Manila, on top of regular community-based vaccination during daytime,” Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said during his visit at the jab site.

He also said that all vaccination efforts and initiatives by the local government will be continued, such as the drive-thru vaccination at the Quirino Grandstand.

As of August 8, a total of 1,507,545 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered by the Manila local government, after inoculating 40,676 vaccine doses in one day. – Report from Rod Lagusad / CF – rir
