The inauguration of president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday, June 30, will be “solemn and simple,” his camp said Tuesday, June 28.
Franz Imperial, one of Marcos’ preparations committee heads, “everything is all set except for some minor details that need to be polished.”
“The program we have prepared is very solemn and simple. It would be very traditional dahil sabi nga ni BBM sa vlog niya, ‘hindi kami lilihis pa sa tradisyon,” Imperial said.
After considering Fort Santiago and Quirino Grandstand Imperial said Marcos chose the National Museum as it matched the requirements needed for his inauguration.
He noted that Marcos will not use a teleprompter while delivering his speech.
All uniformed personnel and other security groups will be deployed around the National Museum and nearby areas to provide maximum security support and ensure a peaceful and orderly inaugural ceremony. – gb
