Mga dumalo sa dinumog na community pantry sa QC, sasailalim sa COVID-19 testing

Mga residenteng pumila sa community food pantry sa Brgy. Old Balara, Quezon City na inorganisa ni City Councilor Franz Pumaren noong nakaraang linggo, isinailalim sa COVID-19 testing.

Sa 6,000 na dumalo sa naturang food pantry na ito, mahigit 650 lamang ang nagpalista para sa COVID-19 testing na ikinadismaya naman ng City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU).

Ayon sa CESU Head ng Quezon City na si Dr. Rolly Cruz, kailangan silang abisuhan ng mga residente na makakaramdam ng sintomas sa loob ng 14 araw.

Plano ring bumuo ng CESU ng mga patakaran ng lokal na pamahalaan para sa mga magsasagawa ng food pantry, lalo na kung mga public officials ang isa sa mga nag-organisa nito.

Samantala, inabswelto na ng Batasan Police Station 6 si Pumaren sa anumang safety health protocol violation kaugnay ng naturang food pantry.

Ayon sa pulisya, nakipag-ugnayan si Pumaren sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno gaya ng Quezon City Police District, Batasan Police Station 6, at sa tanggapan ni Brgy. Capt. Allan Franza nang namahagi siya ng pagkain upang matiyak ang kaayusan at pagpapatupad ng safety health protocols sa isinagawang community food pantry.

Paniniwala naman ni Pumaren, ito ay isang uri ng pamumulitika laban sa kanya.

“Tama yung sinasabi sa video na nagkaroon ng commotion pero sandali lang iyon. Whoever made that video, probably may malicious intent, ‘e. Bakit yung umpisang linya, yung natapos, hindi man lang ipinakita iyon eh. With the findings of QCPD, I was able to vindicate myself,” ani Pumaren. – Ulat ni Allan Francisco / CF-rir
