Minors still prohibited in internet shops – PNP

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reiterated that minors, including students of distance learning, are still not allowed in computer shops despite the upcoming opening of classes on Monday.

Joint Task Force COVID Shield Chief PLt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar issued the reminder to computer shop owners in anticipation of the possible influx of elementary and high school students without computers at home.

Eleazar likewise clarified that renting of computers in the said establishments is prohibited to prevent further transmission of COVID-19.

PNP units will be monitoring operations of internet and computer shops to ensure that minors will not be hanging out in those places. – PTV News
