MMDA suspends number coding from April 12 to 15

The implementation of the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or the number coding scheme will be suspended during the Holy Week.

In a statement, MMDA Chairperson Romando Artes said the suspension will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m on Holy Tuesday (April 12), Holy Wednesday (April 13), Maundy Thursday (April 14), and Good Friday (April 15).

Artes said the suspension was meant to give the public the opportunity to travel earlier due to the influx of people returning to the provinces at the terminals and ports.

The number coding scheme is lifted every holiday. –KC/gb
