The Manila Metropolitan Development Authority (MMDA) said it will start apprehending motorcycle riders who would use bicycle lanes starting Monday, Aug. 21.

Motorcycle riders using bicycle lanes will be asked to pay P1,000 for disregarding traffic signs.

Based on MMDA’s monitoring in EDSA, there are too many motorcycle riders passing through the bicycle lane and cyclists, in return, cannot use the lane reserved for them.
