An unidentified male passenger on Thursday, March 23 was arrested after dropping a bomb joke while queuing along the baggage inspection area of Shaw Boulevard station.

According to Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) management, the man was apprehended by the station’s security around 7:00 p.m.

He was eventually turned over to the Wack Wack Police Station.

“The suspect had undergone the preliminary investigation before the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office,” MRT-3 management said.

The man is currently detained at Eastern Police District, Mandaluyong City Police Station Headquarters Detention Cell.

He is also facing charges for violating Presidential Decree 1727 or the Anti-Bomb Joke Law.
