Lawyer Reynold Munsayac will serve as the new spokesperson of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte starting on Tuesday, June 21.

Munsayac and Duterte were classmates in law school where the new spokesperson graduated as valedictorian, and Munsayac assisted her in the establishment of Tapang at Malasakit in 2017.

Munsayac served as the commissioner and acting chairperson of the Presidential Commission on Good Government and later left his post to help Duterte in her campaign.

Duterte said she is confident that Munsayac will be able to deliver his role with his experience in governance and public service.

“Munsayac’s professional portfolio is highlighted by his unquestionable integrity and dedication to governance and public service, and the Vice President-elect is confident that he will be able to bring this experience to his new duty.”

Meanwhile, Duterte expressed his gratitude to outgoing Liloan Cebu Mayor Christina Frasco, her former spokesperson, for helping her in disseminating accurate and timely messages to all Filipinos.

“The Vice President-elect is grateful for Mayor Frasco’s help in the timely and effective communication of her messages to the Filipinos through the media. She was committed to the truthful dissemination of information, and her duty as the spokesperson was marked with intelligence and grace.”

She also wished Frasco “all the best” as the new tourism secretary.

“Inday Sara wishes the incoming Secretary of the Department of Tourism Frasco all the best in her new role in nation building.”  – ag
