The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) urges the Maynilad Water Services Inc. and Manila Water Company, Inc. to put in abeyance the implementation of the price increase of their water supply in January 2019. The move is in keeping with President Rodrigo Duterte’s warning that the state will sue the officials of said firms following the concession agreement between the government and the water concessionaires.
