The National Capital Region Police Office Acting Regional Director PBGen Debold M Sinas lauded Task Group NCR particularly all NCRPO personnel for the successful security coverage on the 30th Southeast Asian Games as it officially concluded on Thursday, December 11, 2019 at New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac.
NCRPO Chief honored all men and women of the NCRPO represented by 11,752 representatives from different districts, stations and offices along with NCRPO’s reactionary unit such as the Regional Mobile Force contingents.
Noted best practices throughout the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games were Deployment of Salaam Police to different venue and billets; Fielded Mobile Force Contingents transported by Ceres buses; Utilization of Internal Affair Service as Red Teams; EOD canine -39 dogs, consolidated efforts in the conduct of shock and awe to all billets and venues before, during and after SEA Games; Utilization of Reserve TMR as MC escorts; And unity of command in JTOC.
PBGen Sinas acknowledged that the collective efforts and individual commitment to provide route, billet and venue security for the 3,274 SEA GAMES delegates and the citizenry especially the people of Metro Manila that paved the way for safe and sound occasion despite of challenges and minimal untoward incidents recorded.
The metro top cop extended his gratitude and appreciation to other government agencies in helping the NCRPO managed the security coverage making the most anticipated biennial regional multi-sport event generally smooth and peaceful.
As PBGen Debold M Sinas expressed his appreciation for the public’s support and cooperation on the anti-criminality campaigns of the NCRPO and noted that the SEA GAMES 2019 is a great learning experience for Metro Manila’s police force for it will serve as a guide for future events that the country will host.
Meanwhile, he challenged all NCRPO personnel to further maintain and strengthen the operational readiness. “Let us not rest on our successes. Let us remain vigilant against all forms of disturbance in security. Let us always be visible, accessible and ready to help,” PBGen Sinas stated.
“We worked as one and so, we won as one; as such what we have done on SEA Games should reflect the standard of what we should be doing every day,” he added.
