The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said it will maximize its presence with the deployment of 4,690 police personnel during the observance of the Lenten season and summer vacation.

The NCRPO said it will also focus on its anti-criminality campaign and other pre-emptive measures as they expect an influx of people during the said period.

“[The] police force will not only be seen but felt by our fellowmen in transportation hubs, terminals, places of worship, malls, markets, commercial areas, and parks within NCR,” it said.

It will also deploy police personnel for traffic management and control.

Aside from the NCRPO’s staff, some agencies will also deploy additional personnel, bringing the total deployment count to 7,738.

They will come from the Metro Manila Development Authority, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Special Action Force, Regional Highway Patrol Unit, Regional Maritime Unit, and Aviation Security Group.

The NCRPO urged the public to “immediately report information relative to security concerns” to police stations closest to them or through NCRPO text hotline numbers 0915-888-9181 and 0999-901-8181. – cf
