Northeast monsoon to bring rains over north, central Luzon

MANILA — The northeast monsoon affecting northern and central Luzon will bring isolated light rains over these areas, the weather bureau said Sunday.

This will bring partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow over the eastern part of Luzon and of Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
