Nueva Vizcaya solon thumbs up SONA’s ‘ positive effects’

ARITAO, Nueva Vizcaya — Rep. Carlos M. Padilla of the lone district of Nueva Vizcaya has praised President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) for its positive effects in the province.

Padilla noted the moral advocacy of the current administration, particularly in weeding out graft and corruption, which has started  to be evidenced by clean governance in the national and local levels.

On health and education, he said the province has been receiving more funds for putting up additional health facilities and schools, especially in remote areas.

“This should have follow-through actions in order to be sustained in the years to come,” the lawmaker said.

Head of the Aritao Police, Chief Insp. Geovanni Cejes, said the patrol car purchased by the Department of the Interior and Local Government for local police stations is a big help in their continuous campaign against illegal drugs.

“We were informed that these patrol cars will be released last week of this month and we are happy about it,” Cejes said.

Leonardo Villanueva, 68, a farmer, said, “It was an excellent SONA. It is very clear, detailed and inspiring. I am proud to be a farmer. I salute Du30!” (PR/PNA)
