OF Bank assures safety, convenience for banking needs of Filipinos abroad

The Overseas Filipino Bank (OF Bank) assures that it is a safe, secure, and convenient bank that caters to the banking needs of Filipinos abroad and their beneficiaries.

In the Laging Handa public briefing on Tuesday (June 29), OF Bank President and CEO Leila Martin said the digital-only bank aims to provide “accessible, secure, and convenient” banking products to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

The OF Bank is the first bank in the Philippines to be awarded a digital banking license by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Its application is designed to enable OFWs’ access to investment facilities, among other services.

Martin said the total inflows from their e-banking and remittance transactions have amounted to more than ₱1.5-B  as of May 31. She also said that 37,000 accounts were opened in 113 countries.

“You can open your own savings account without any opening deposit requirement at wala rin po itong maintaining balance requirement,” she added.
