More than 2,000 individuals with plans to seek opportunities abroad joined the Overseas Mega Jobs Fair, the Independence Day labor fair of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Monday, June 12.

The DMW said among the jobs offered were nursing, welding, construction, food service, maritime, and accounting.

The fair, held at the DMW Blas F. Ople Building in Ortigas, will be open until 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, DMW Secretary Susan Ople announced they will launch the regular DMW Online Jobs Fair on July 7.

“Every other Friday muna starting July 07, we will institutionalize ‘yung online jobs fair para maghihintay na lang sila [OFWs] kung alin ang a-applyan nila. Ilalapit na namin ‘yung trabaho sa kanila,” she said.AG – gb
