Over 46-K outbound passengers flock to ports days before Christmas

A total of 46,481 outbound passengers flocked to ports nationwide on Monday, Dec. 19, less than a week before Christmas, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported.

PCG also monitored a total of 50,117 inbound passengers.

The Coast Guard has deployed 4,976 personnel in 15 PCG Districts to inspect a total of 1,793 vessels and 3,551 motorbancas.

It has also placed its districts, stations, and sub-stations on “heightened alert” until Jan. 7 to manage the influx of port passengers during the Holiday season.
