PACC seeks removal of corrupt PhilHealth officials

The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) is seeking the removal of all officials involved in anomalies and corruption within the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica pushed that the corrupt officials to be rooted out of their posts as he explained in a Senate hearing that corruption within the corporation has become severe and persistent. With the absence of change within the system, such irregularities could be continuously happening in PhilHealth while the Senate is conducting its inquiry on the alleged anomalies.

Belgica disclosed that 36 PhilHealth officials are currently being investigated by the PACC.

The Ombudsman will file cases against 13 of them. – PTV News
