Palace: August 9 not a holiday

By Katrina Gracia Consebido

Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles on Thursday, Aug. 4, said Aug. 9 this year is not a special non-working holiday amid unverified social media posts claiming that next Tuesday will be a holiday to honor the late former President Fidel V. Ramos.

Former President Ramos passed away last July 31 at the age of 94, and will be accorded a state funeral with full military honors on Aug. 9.  -ag
